Chicago Sonographer Update 2024
Echocardiographic Assessment of Cardiac Function in Heart Failure: from Fetus to Young Adults with Optional Hands-on Scanning Workshop
An Educational Meeting Developed by Sonographers for Sonographers
Course Description
This course will provide attendees with a comprehensive assessment for performing advanced cardiac function from the fetus to the neonate and young adult. The workshop was designed with the sonographer’s learning experience in mind. This hybrid course will offer in-person or virtual attendance. All lectures will be recorded and available on-demand to all registrants for a limited time following the conference's conclusion.
Senior cardiac sonographers will lead the optional small-group, hands-on scanning sessions which will allow participants to improve their scanning technique for assessing cardiac function focusing specifically on 3D volumetrics and myocardial strain analysis. Space is limited to 25 participants for the scanning workshop (In-person attendance only).
Participants who opt out of the hands-on scanning workshop, will attend a session where unique cases will be presented to "Stump the Experts". These presentations will focus on the application of the knowledge gained from the didactic lectures to real-life clinical scenarios.
