Honor a Loved One’s Memory

Honor the life and memory of someone special while bringing hope to others with a gift to Lurie Children’s. When you make a tribute gift, a personalized acknowledgment can be sent to the individual or family of the person you are honoring or memorializing, if requested, letting them know of your thoughtful gesture. Your generosity will directly support the hospital’s programs and services, making a meaningful impact.

You might choose to ask others to donate in memory of your loved one. A tribute fund offers a simple and meaningful way for families or groups to honor or remember their loved ones by inviting friends and family to contribute. Our team will work with you to set up the fund and provide guidance throughout the process. Loved ones who are remembered through memorial gifts totaling $1,000 or more are recognized on our Gifts of Love wall. This special installation, located on the 12th floor of Lurie Children’s near the Anne Searle Bent Interfaith Chapel, is dedicated each spring with a remembrance ceremony for families and friends.

Celebrate life’s milestones while making a difference for children in need. Whether you’re honoring someone’s retirement, marking a birthday or anniversary, or celebrating a wedding or another meaningful occasion, there are two meaningful ways to give back:

  • Make a Donation in Honor of Someone: Celebrate an individual’s milestone by making a donation in their honor. You can request that Lurie Children’s send a personalized card to inform them about your thoughtful gift.
  • Set Up a Tribute Fund: For occasions like weddings, birthdays, or anniversaries, invite friends and family to donate to the tribute fund in lieu of a traditional gift. In recognition of gifts that are $500 or greater, honored caregivers will receive a custom lapel pin to wear proudly.
