Many businesses and corporations match charitable gifts (and volunteer hours) made by their employees, retirees, and employee spouses dollar for dollar. Find out if your employer (or your spouse’s employer) is one of the 17,000 companies that match gifts.
How matching gifts work:
Make your donation to Lurie Children’s.
Search above for your company or ask your human resources department about your company’s matching gift policy.
If your company participates, send the completed form through your company’s portal.
Your company will return the form along with the matching gift to Lurie Children’s Foundation.

Matching Gift FAQs
Who contacts my employer to match the gift?
You have to initiate the match through your company. Once you make your donation, contact your employer (or use our search tool) to find out next steps in making your impact go even further for our patients. Keep your donation receipt as you will need to give this to your employer.
Are matching gifts restricted?
Matching gifts are directed to the same fund designation as your original gift, unless your employer dictates otherwise.
Will I receive recognition for this match?
Donor will receive recognition for their own gift plus the value of the employer matching gift. Match recognition is given within the calendar year that it is received in-hand by Lurie Children’s.
How do I get my matching gift added to my friend's fundraising page?
Donations made through fundraising pages can also be matched. Be sure to note the name of the fundraising participant in your matching gift documentation.
As a fundraiser, when will my donors' matching gifts be added toward my fundraising goal?
We can only add matching gifts to fundraising totals once we have received the funds from the company. Some companies pay out matching gifts monthly or quarterly, so it may be several weeks before matching gifts are added to fundraising totals.
