Corporate Champions
Corporate Champions play a crucial role in Lurie Children’s ability to provide the best possible medical care for our patients.
As a nonprofit medical center, we rely on philanthropy to make advancements in care, invest in leading-edge research and support families. Through their partnerships with Lurie Children’s, Corporate Champions help lead the way in pediatric healthcare and make it possible for us to create unique programs, expand our facilities and make research discoveries leading to life-transforming cures.
In recognition of this support, Lurie Children’s provides customized and meaningful partnership opportunities—including unique year-round engagement—that help Corporate Champions achieve their business goals while making an impact on kids and families.

Wintrust has proudly supported and partnered with Lurie Children’s through philanthropy and volunteerism since its founding more than 30 years ago. Currently committing over $130,000 annually, most significantly as the presenting sponsor of The Founders’ Board Pro Am and Dinner on the Bluff, Wintrust continuously demonstrates its tireless commitment to the patients and families served at Lurie Children’s. “Wintrust is built on the values of commitment and service to our communities, so giving back and getting involved is a part of who we are. Our goal is to make a difference and, through our ongoing commitment to Lurie Children’s, we hope that every child and family has access to the highest level of care and supportive services they need and deserve.” —Timothy Crane, CEO, Wintrust
Redwood Logistics hosts an annual employee philanthropic event that encourages friendly competition in the spirit of raising money for an organization that serves a community in need. The Redwood Games is a months-long fundraising event that acts as a collaborative initiative to bring Redwood employees together to meet new colleagues, exercise teamwork, and raise significant funds for various charitable organizations. In August of 2023, Redwood Logistics raised over $247,770 for Lurie Children’s during the Redwood Games, a true testament to the company’s culture of positive action and collective spirit. “The Lurie Children’s Hospital cause is near and dear to us here at Redwood,” said Todd Berger, President, Redwood. “Children across Chicago and the United States unjustly suffer from an array of conditions including mental illnesses, physical ailments, neurological disorders, illnesses and more. We want to make life easier and provide a path to a healthier future for these children as well as those who will need assistance in the future.”
In June 2023, Jewel-Osco selected Lurie Children’s to be the beneficiary of a point-of-sale fundraising campaign which gave customers in 188 Chicagoland stores the opportunity to donate at the register, which collectively raised nearly $300,000. As a result, Jewel-Osco was recognized as the Presenting Sponsor for two signature Lurie Children’s events—Lurie Children’s Radiothon and the Children’s Research Fund Children’s Ball. During the 2023 Lurie Children’s Radiothon, which raised over $860,000 during the 13-hour broadcast, the company mascot JoJo visited the hospital and handed out ornaments to kids and their families. The 2023 Children’s Ball, co-presented by Jewel-Osco, raised over $3.76M towards solving pediatric health challenges through research discoveries and advancements. “Jewel-Osco has a longstanding commitment to supporting children in need,” said Mike Withers, President of Jewel-Osco. “We are grateful to our customers for their generosity because the money raised will help support the patients and their families who need it most.”
For the last four years, Sterling Bay’s philanthropic initiative SB Cares has been the generous lead sponsor of Winter Wishes, an annual fundraising event hosted by Lurie Children’s Founders’ Board. This past year, the event raised over $500,000 in support of the Fetal Cardiac Intervention program at Lurie Children’s, which will provide life-saving treatment for babies diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease before birth. As a company headquartered in Chicago, developing properties that catalyze economic opportunities in neighborhoods throughout the city, Sterling Bay is proud to support Chicago’s children through their partnership with Lurie Children’s.
“We are proud to support Lurie Children’s and the vital work it does to help young people and their families. We share a commitment to transforming communities across the city of Chicago, and we are pleased to partner with Lurie Children’s to deliver on the promise of a healthier future for every child.” —Andy Gloor, CEO, Sterling Bay
