Corporate Champions

Corporate Champions play a crucial role in Lurie Children’s ability to provide the best possible medical care for our patients.

As a nonprofit medical center, we rely on philanthropy to make advancements in care, invest in leading-edge research and support families. Through their partnerships with Lurie Children’s, Corporate Champions help lead the way in pediatric healthcare and make it possible for us to create unique programs, expand our facilities and make research discoveries leading to life-transforming cures.

In recognition of this support, Lurie Children’s provides customized and meaningful partnership opportunities—including unique year-round engagement—that help Corporate Champions achieve their business goals while making an impact on kids and families.

Stories of Support

Meridian’s generous partnership has helped support Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago’s expansion of its Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, a critical addition that increases specialized behavioral health care for youth with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and significant mental health needs. This expanded unit includes purpose-built environments and sensory-supportive spaces designed to improve care and comfort for young patients and adds new trained staff to better meet complex needs — helping Lurie Children’s lead regional efforts to address a profound shortage of pediatric psychiatric services.

KPMG
KPMG has shown its commitment to the Lurie Children’s mission for nearly three decades, encouraging both corporate support and employee participation in events and board leadership opportunities. In addition to being the longtime presenting sponsor of Step Up for Kids, KPMG has supported the Children’s Ball, the Gold Coast Fashion Show, Run for Gus and more. Volunteers have fundraised and served on boards including the Children’s Research Fund, Children’s Service Board, Young Associates Board, Innovators and the Lurie Children’s Surgical Foundation Board, bringing their skills, dedication and enthusiasm to a range of key fundraising initiatives.

KPMG’s employee giving program gives colleagues the ability to work together in support of an important cause by providing opportunities to engage with the mission of the hospital and engage in peer-to-peer fundraising. Last year, KPMG reached an impressive milestone: over $1 million donated to Lurie Children’s through corporate sponsorship, direct giving and employee fundraising. These funds fuel the Lurie Children’s mission and inspire us to continue striving toward our vision of a healthier future for every child.

Credit unions across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana unite through the national Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) program to support Lurie Children's as the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

In partnership with the Illinois Credit Union League, credit unions demonstrate their unwavering commitment to pediatric healthcare through various initiatives, like Healthcare Associates Credit Union’s sponsorship of the iHeart Media Radiothon, in-branch fundraising, and signature events including In the Cellar—which champions children's mental health across the Great Lakes region.

Lurie Children’s is also proud to partner with Great Lakes Credit Union Foundation, BCU, Consumers Credit Union and Financial Plus in creating a healthier future for every child.
