Corporate Champions

Corporate Champions play a crucial role in Lurie Children’s ability to provide the best possible medical care for our patients.
As a nonprofit medical center, we rely on philanthropy to make advancements in care, invest in leading-edge research and support families. Through their partnerships with Lurie Children’s, Corporate Champions help lead the way in pediatric healthcare and make it possible for us to create unique programs, expand our facilities and make research discoveries leading to life-transforming cures.
In recognition of this support, Lurie Children’s provides customized and meaningful partnership opportunities—including unique year-round engagement—that help Corporate Champions achieve their business goals while making an impact on kids and families.
Corporate Champions Social ToolkitStories of Support
Thanks to the transformative support of ViiV Healthcare’s Positive Action Grant Program, Lurie Children’s has been able to empower the next generation of health leaders through the Youth Leaders in HIV Internship and the expanded Fellowship in HIV Prevention. Now in its third year of partnership, ViiV Healthcare’s commitment has enabled CPS students from Chicago’s South and West Sides to engage with community partners, learning about HIV, sexual health, and mental wellness. These youth leaders play a vital role in advancing health equity by providing education and outreach within their communities.
Building on this success, ViiV’s continued support has allowed us to expand our reach to young adults (ages 18–24) through The Fellowship in HIV Prevention. This program offers fellows monthly skill-building sessions, professional development opportunities, and resources to positively impact their communities—all while promoting LGBTQIA-inclusive health education and mental wellness. ViiV Healthcare’s dedication to fostering youth leadership and health equity has been instrumental in driving meaningful change across Chicago, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.

Since 2022, Clayco has proudly hosted Kids Dig, an annual event that gives children the rare opportunity to operate real construction equipment like bulldozers, excavators, and more (with the help of professionals, of course), creating lasting memories and bringing joy to the young patients of Lurie Children’s and their families. Through this event, Clayco, alongside their local subcontractor partners, have also donated funds that directly contribute to the hospital’s ability to provide top-tier care, resources, and support to families in need.
Kevin McKenna, Retired Chief Administration Officer, states “Seeing the excitement and joy on the faces of these children and their families is a reminder of why we do what we do. Clayco is proud to continue this tradition and looks forward to making Kids Dig even bigger and better in the years to come.” Clayco’s mantra, “Beyond These Walls,” reflects their commitment to building not only structures but also stronger communities.
Marriott International has proudly partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1983, raising millions for local children’s hospitals across North America. To date, Marriott properties and associates have contributed over $4 million to support Lurie Children’s, including $416,000 last year alone from Chicagoland locations like Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, Marriott Marquis Chicago, and Renaissance Chicago Downtown.
Through fundraising events, guest donations, and associate-led initiatives, Marriott hotels unite to support children and families in their communities, hosting events like the Play Yellow Golf Outing and Torch Relay 5K to drive meaningful impact.
