Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is recognized as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.

Our Model Policy & Procedure to Assist Schools in Being Gender Inclusive
In April 2016, Lurie Children’s issued our Model Policy and Administrative Procedure to guide schools as they navigate how to support gender inclusion, something that is important for all students. Read the position statement.
The intent of the Model Policy is to provide information and example practices that may help school districts meet and comply with Title IX regulations. School districts should consult with their attorney and review the applicable laws and guidance from the OCR and DOJ to make their own determination of the requirements under applicable law.

Comprehensive LGBTQ Sexual Health Drop-in Services
Any person over the age of 12 can walk into one our sites to receive comprehensive sexual health services that are LGBTQ competent, every day. In Uptown, at our 4711 N. Broadway Street site, we have HIV counselors on-hand Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. providing STI screening, as well as access and linkage to other social services.
Every Wednesday, our clinic in Lincoln Park (467 W. Deming Place, 4th floor, Suite 4003) has drop-in sexual health services that are both for testing and treatment. Uninsured patients can access all of our services free of cost.
