Baby Care Connect

Baby Care Connect allows mothers who are still recovering after childbirth to have a video visit with their newborn infant at the Lurie Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Regenstein Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). Using a secure telemedicine platform, mothers can participate in family-centered rounds and discussions with the care team while also connecting with their child.

Family Care Connect

When a child is admitted to a hospital for care either far from their home or for long periods of time, parents and other family member need to be updated on their child’s care and to participate in the multidisciplinary care team’s rounds. Lurie Children’s Family Care Connect allows families to engage with their child’s care team during family-centered rounds using a secure mobile video platform. Family Care Connect is currently available for families with children being treated in the Lefkofsky Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Almost Home Kids. Like all of our programs, virtual rounding is secure, confidential, and offered at no additional cost to the family.
