Lurie Children's Primary Care – Town & Country Pediatrics offers consultation and counseling to address parenting difficulties, and emotional or behavioral issues in children and adolescents.

According to a University of Pittsburgh School of the Health Sciences study published by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2014, children who receive Behavioral Health Services at their pediatrician’s office, like those provided by Lurie Children's Primary Care – Town & Country Pediatrics, are more likely to see positive results.

The most significant finding is that children receiving mental health care at their pediatrician’s office were seven times more likely to complete the treatment program, with better results, than children referred to outside agencies. Additionally, parents of those treated in the pediatrician’s office reported less stress than parents of children treated by other providers.

We are proud to be one of the few offices in the nation to provide integrated care for our Lurie Children's Primary Care – Town & Country Pediatrics families. Read the NPR article, "Kids Benefit From Counseling at the Pediatrician's Office".
