Epididymitis/Orchitis

Inflammation of the epididymis (the tube that carries semen out of the testicles), or inflammation of the testicle, most often following from infection of the epididymis.

Epispadias

A term used to describe when the urethral opening is in an abnormal location. In males, the opening is usually on the topside of the penis and not the tip.

Hematuria

Pediatric hematuria is the presence of blood in the urine in children. It can be caused by many things, including, infections and kidney diseases. Learn more.

Horseshoe Kidney & Pelvic Kidney

Conditions that either result when the kidneys fail to ascend to their normal position above the waist and remain in the pelvis or when the developing kidneys fuse together.

Hydrocele

A space filled with fluid occurring below or next to a testicle in the male scrotum. It is usually painless, and is not to be confused with a hernia, but may occur along with one.

Hypospadias

A condition in which the end of the urethra (the tube in the penis through which urine passes out of the body) is not located at the tip of the penis.

Kidney Stones

A hard deposit of mineral and acid crystals that sometimes forms inside a kidney, can cause extreme pain while it passes.

Labial Adhesions

Also known as “synechia vulvae” or “labial agglutination,” a closure of the opening to the vagina, may occur in the first few months of life or, even more rarely, at a later time.

Meatal Stenosis

A narrowing of the urethral opening (at the tip of the penis where urine comes out), sometimes causing the urine stream to be slow or aim upwards.

Megameatus

A condition in which the end of the urethra (the tube in the penis through which urine passes out of the body) is not located at the tip of the penis.

Megaureter

A megaureter is an expanded or widened ureter that does not function normally. The size of a megaureter is usually greater than 7 millimeters in diameter.

Micropenis

A micropenis, or microphallus, is a normally structured penis that is smaller than the normal size range for an infant. Learn more about
