Pediatric Thyroid Program

Lurie Children’s Pediatric Thyroid Program is one of the premier centers in the country providing care and treatment for babies through young adults with thyroid problems and diseases.

At our clinic, patients with a range of thyroid diseases can see all the pediatric specialists they may need in one place. Our physicians include specialists in pediatric endocrinology, pediatric otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, pediatric surgery and genetics.

The team provides family-centered and individualized care for each child. This program is particularly beneficial for children that require multidisciplinary care, including patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, cancer predisposition syndromes and Graves' disease.

The Lurie Children’s Difference

Lurie Children’s is a high-volume thyroid surgery program, meaning our medical and surgical specialists have ample clinical experience treating and managing care for pediatric thyroid patients. Our pediatric thyroid patients have optimal outcomes following their medical and surgical treatment and can expect long-term follow-up care to manage their conditions.
