Accessory Navicular

An extra piece of bone attached to the navicular bone, located on the inside of the foot just above the arch.

Achilles Tendonitis

An inflammation of the Achilles tendon, the thick, fibrous, connective tissue that attaches the calf muscles to the heel bone.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Injury

An injury to a stabilizing ligament of the knee that keeps the tibia from sliding forward, especially with twisting or pivoting motions.

Apophysitis of the Pelvis/Hip

Irritation or inflammation of a growth plate, which provides a point for a muscle to attach to bone, most commonly affecting adolescents.

Athlete Burnout

A condition in which an athlete experiences fatigue and declining performance in his/her sport despite continuing or increased training.
