Before your visit, please obtain a CD of your medical images, or have them sent to Lurie Children’s via lifeIMAGE, our electronic image exchange network. Please do not have your child’s images sent via lifeIMAGE more than 30 days before an appointment.
Our team uses lifeIMAGE software to allow referring physicians and medical centers to send us a child’s medical imaging exams electronically. This electronic transfer removes the need for us to re-image the child once they’re in our care, and it also allows parents to keep their medical imaging CDs, reducing the risk of them being lost or disposed of.
Additionally, lifeIMAGE technology allows us to view a patient’s exams before they arrive and therefore begin treatment planning sooner. This image exchange program also allows our specialists to perform remote consultations.
