Sleep disorders among children are common. Issues that disrupt sleep once it has started, such as sleepwalking and night terrors, are known as “parasomnias.”

Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension

Also called persistent pulmonary hypertension in the newborn or persistent fetal circulation syndrome, a serious breathing condition for newborns. Its cause is unknown.


An inflammation of the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses or chemical irritants.

Pulmonary Hypertension

High blood pressure in the lungs, a disease of the very small blood vessels in the lungs, affecting not only the lungs but the heart as well.
