Lurie Children’s Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine cares for more than 49,000 children each year. We provide a range of services for children with bone, joint, muscle, ligament, tendon and nerve (musculoskeletal) disorders and offer the only pediatric bone health program in Illinois.
As one of the top pediatric orthopedic programs in the country, our doctors have advanced training in pediatrics and orthopedic surgery. They provide the specialized care that growing children and teenagers need. Our physicians are also experts in areas of the body such as the spine and foot/ankle.
Our team works with specialists in the Division of Neurosurgery and the Division of Urology to care for patients in one of the largest spina bifida programs in the country.
Approach
We provide family-centered care and treat the whole family, not just the patient. Our providers take time to answer your questions, make sure you are comfortable with the treatment plan, and suggest other resources and support. Our services are available at the main hospital and outpatient sites throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. If your child needs an operation, a pre-op visit can be scheduled at the hospital so your child can see the amazing and kid-friendly facility.
Nationally-Ranked Care
Lurie Children’s continues to be the #1 children's hospital in Illinois and is ranked in 9 specialties by U.S. News & World Report.
