The goal of the Pediatric Neuropsychiatry Program, led by Sigita Plioplys, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, is to provide comprehensive and specialized psychiatric services to patients with neurological disorders, as well as to advance the art and science of pediatric neuropsychiatry.
Conditions We Treat
The program provides multidisciplinary psychiatric evaluations and treatment to youth with most common neurological disorders and comorbid mood, behavioral and learning problems, including:
- Epilepsy
- Brain tumors
- Traumatic brain injury
- Hydrocephalus
- Cerebral palsy
- Psychogenic non-neurological syndromes (e.g., non-epileptic seizures and non-neurological paralysis)
- Genetic, degenerative and vascular neurological disorders
- Neuromuscular disorders
