Pediatric Immediate Care Centers
Lurie Children's offers same-day in-person and virtual Immediate Care services for the unexpected and, if necessary, onsite x-ray and laboratory services. Our pediatricians provide treatment for non-emergencies and non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Our Immediate Care Clinics treat patients starting at birth through 20 years of age. We treat infants under the age of two months if they are fever-free. For patients 21 and older who are in need of Immediate Care services, we recommend you consult with a primary care physician or specialist to find the right age-appropriate solution for your care needs.
If you are uncertain if your child can be seen by our Immediate Care team, please use this infographic as a resource. Our online scheduling tool will also help direct you appropriately with a series of questions prior to scheduling your appointment.
In-Person Visits
Our Immediate Care Clinics in Lincoln Park and Northbrook are open 7 days a week (Monday-Friday, 4 p.m.–10 p.m.; and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, 12 p.m.–6 p.m.).
An appointment is highly recommended to reduce wait times. A limited number of walk-ins are also accepted and are assigned an appointment time upon arrival. Due to high patient volumes, walk-in availability may fill up before the end of clinic hours.
Before leaving home, please make an appointment online or call the Immediate Care Clinic to confirm they are still accepting walk-in patients for the day. You can reach the Lincoln Park clinic at 312.227.8800 and the Northbrook clinic at 312.227.7660.
Virtual Visits
We offer Virtual Immediate Care appointments with Lurie Children's board-certified physicians.
Virtual Immediate Care is available Monday-Friday, 2 p.m.–8:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.
Note that you must be in the state of Illinois at the time of your appointment.
