Grant-Funded Research

We are proud of our history of funded research. Our Faculty and Fellows have been the recipients of grant awards from Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PICORI), the National Institutes of Health Heart, Lung and Blood Division (NHLBI), the Pediatric Critical Care and Trauma Scientist Development Program (PCCTSDP), and more.  

Funded research studies are no different than our other clinical research studies in many important ways. These research studies receive the same rigorous evaluation of risks and benefits as our other research studies. These studies are always voluntary; families can say “no” at any time during their hospital admission. A family’s withdrawal from a research study does not affect the care their child receives.
