Parkinsonism
Parkinsonism is a group of symptoms usually including tremor, slowness of movement, rigidity, and postural instability. It shares symptoms found in Parkinson's disease, from which it is named; but parkinsonism symptoms can be the result of several causes.
It can be the product of exposure to toxins, some metabolic diseases, other neurological conditions than Parkinson’s, and may also follow treatment with certain medications, such as phenothiazines, thioxanthenes, butyrophenones, piperazines and some antidepressants.
