The Mood and Anxiety Program provides evidence-based assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.

Conditions We Treat

Our program evaluates and treats:

  • Major and minor depression
  • Separation anxiety
  • Generalized anxiety
  • Social phobia
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • Panic disorder
  • Selective mutism

Services & Treatment

Our services within the program include:

  • Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation (e.g., semi-structured interviews and parent, teacher and self-report questionnaires)
  • Consultation
  • Psychopharmacological intervention
  • Therapy

Therapy is provided in individual, family and group formats as needed and relies heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Bilingual services are available for assessment and therapy in Spanish.

Upon completion of the diagnostic evaluation, a multidisciplinary team of clinicians reviews each case and provides treatment recommendations. As an evidence-based clinic, we are interested in treatment response and collect ongoing information from parents and children about symptom changes throughout treatment.
