Insomnia

Insomnia is a condition in which the child has trouble going to sleep or remaining asleep. It is a very common problem but is not generally considered a serious one unless it causes issues with daytime functioning.

Though medications are sometimes considered, usually it is most successfully treated with behavioral modifications on both the parents’ part and the child’s, include developing better sleep hygiene or the use of cognitive behavioral therapy.
