Before your appointment, check the NASCAR website for the latest street closures. Bus routes may be affected. For current CTA and Metra schedules, visit TransitChicago and Metra. Navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps will reflect real-time closures

Please allow extra travel time. All hospital parking garages will remain open, though alternate routes may be needed.

Cancel or Reschedule

Please call us directly at 312.227.4100 at least 24 hours in advance. It helps us, and it helps other families receive timely care.

Additional Cardiac Testing

If a cardiologist determines your child needs an echocardiogram (ECHO) or electrocardiogram (ECG), you may be asked to come in before your originally scheduled time. An ECG takes about 20 minutes; an ECHO takes about an hour.

If your visit requires a referral for insurance, please make sure that referral also includes orders for an ECG and an ECHO.

During Your Visit

Your child may be seen by an advanced practice provider (APP) or a fellow (doctor in training) before your pediatric cardiologist.

Your child may also need laboratory work completed; as a result, please be prepared to spend at least three hours with us.

After Your Visit

We want to know what you think. You may receive a patient satisfaction survey in the mail, and we encourage you to take the time to share your thoughts with us.
