Cardiac Intensivists

Pediatric cardiac intensivists are physicians specially trained in pediatric cardiac intensive care that treat children with complex congenital and acquired heart defects. Caring for children in the 44-bed Regenstein Cardiac Care Unit, these physicians are at the core of the Heart Center’s highly specialized, multidisciplinary pre and postoperative treatment. Our cardiac intensivists are faculty in the divisions of Critical Care and Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. They also conduct research studies in children with heart disease.
