There are now about 6 million children in the U.S. with food allergy. Almost any food can trigger an allergic reaction but children are most likely to be allergic to one or more of the top nine most common food allergens: cow milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanut, tree nuts, sesame, fish and shellfish.
