Achieving the best outcome for each child starts with having an expert team. The Division of Neurology offers access to fetal and neonatal neurologists who provide innovative, individualized treatments starting through The Chicago Institute for Fetal Health at Lurie Children’s and in the neonatal intensive care units at Lurie Children’s and Prentice Women’s Hospital, all with the goal of helping newborns achieve their best outcomes.
Our program focuses on delivering state-of-the-art neonatal neurology care by bringing the latest research to the bedside through evidence-based clinical protocols, care pathways, and 24/7 consultation services.
This multifaceted program also includes an educational component for pediatric neurology residents and neurocritical care fellows, and a research portfolio focused on improving the care of fetuses, newborns and infants with neurologic disease. Our program also collaborates with neonatologists, pediatric neuroradiologists, pediatric neurosurgeons and physiatrists.
