Epidermolysis Bullosa

Epidermolysis bullosa is a rare genetic condition affecting one in 20,000 births in the United States. It causes fragile skin that blisters and tears with only minor friction or trauma. Internal organs can also be affected by certain variations of this disease. Currently, there is no treatment or cure. Wound care and pain management are the primary modes of care.
