Ectopic Ureter

Ectopic ureter is a rare condition where the ureter (the tube that moves urine from the kidney to the bladder) does not attach correctly to the top of the bladder but to some other location instead. It is a rare cause of urinary incontinence — continuous urine leakage. It is usually associated with ureteral duplication and is discovered with CT, MR, and cystoscopic evaluation.
