Back Pain

Back pain is a very common complaint and affects 8 in 10 individuals during their lives. It can range from dull and constant to sharp and sudden.

Medical professionals refer to long-lasting pain — more than three months — as “chronic” and pain that begins suddenly and lasts a few days or weeks as “acute.”

Over-the-counter pain relievers and rest helps most types of back pain. But if the pain does not go away after three days, consult a doctor. Also, seek medical attention if the pain is the result of an injury.
