Autonomic Disorders

Autonomic disorders are also known as dysautonomia or autonomic nervous system disorder, can either result in a failure of the various bodily functioning normally controlled by the autonomic (or “involuntary”) nervous system or their excessive or overactive functioning.

Such disorders can include acute and reversible conditions like Guillain-Barré syndrome, or chronic, progressive ones such as diabetes and alcoholism.

Parkinson’s disease can also exhibit signs of dysautonomia.
