Preparing for Your Visit
We understand that visiting one of our cancer programs—especially for the first time—can feel overwhelming. To help make your experience as smooth as possible, your intake coordinator will email you a personalized itinerary before your appointment. This detailed schedule is designed to take the guesswork out of your visit. Please review it carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
What Your Itinerary Will Include
Appointment Time and Location
We’ve built in extra time for parking, check-in. and getting to your appointment. Please aim to arrive on time.
Hospital Map and Directions
- Enter through the Huron Street garage.
- Park near the Southeast side of the garage (refer to the map included).
- Take the elevator to the second floor.
- Follow signs to your right and use the pedestrian bridge to reach Lurie Children's Hospital.

Scans or Lab Test Appointments
If any imaging or lab tests are scheduled for the same day as your clinic visit, you’ll find all relevant times and locations noted in your itinerary.
Appointment Instructions
Some procedures require special preparation, such as fasting. These instructions will be included in your itinerary and discussed with you by your intake coordinator.
Recommended Clothing
While comfortable clothing is generally fine, certain procedures may have specific clothing requirements. Please review your instructions for details.
