Trainings & Informational Sessions

The Division of Adolescent Medicine uses its unique place in Chicago’s community to reach out to teens, their parents and schools to raise awareness and understanding of issues facing adolescents and young adults today. Below is list of the specialized trainings and informational sessions we offer.

  • LGBT Cultural Competency | For young people, adults, school staff and organizations
  • Gender in Schools | For students, school staff, parents and organizations
  • HIV 101 | For young people, adults, school staff and organizations
  • Trans*101 | For young people, adults, school staff and organizations
  • Safe Space Day | Homeless and LGBTQ youth
    • A series of workshops and events focused on anti-bullying strategies and HIV testing, prevention, transmission and treatment.
  • YOU Belong Initiative: An LGBTQA Sports and Leadership Camp | For students
    • A four-day comprehensive sports and leadership development clinic for LGBTQ and straight youth led by Wade Davis II, the first openly-gay NFL player.
