Your insurance options

For primary care visits to schools, only patients who have no insurance or are insured by Medicaid are eligible to be seen at the Mobile Health unit.

For specialty care visits at the Mobile Health unit, we accept one of the following types of insurance:

  • Commercial Plans (usually provided by an employer)
  • Medicaid Plans through Illinois Medicaid
  • Exchange Plans (usually bought on the insurance marketplace)

We often let families know what services are covered by insurance before their visit. However, since some pediatric specialists and specialty services may not be part of your benefits, we encourage families to contact their insurance company directly. If services are not covered by insurance, the hospital asks for payment on the day of the visit.
