Neighborhood Relations
The relationships we develop with our neighbors are important to our hospital, and we invite our neighbor's participation in our community engagement efforts. Lurie Children's is committed to being a good neighbor and is glad for the opportunity to work together to promote a healthy community. To learn more, please contact Antonette Rabor.
Downtown Chicago Neighborhood Relations
On June 9, 2012, Children's Memorial Hospital moved from Lincoln Park to a new, state-of-the-art facility in downtown Chicago, and became Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
Our community relations program in downtown Chicago encompasses multi-faceted initiatives and includes close cooperation with our institutional campus partners: Northwestern University, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). We meet regularly with our campus partners, government officials and community leaders, including the Magnificent Mile Association and SOAR, to collaborate on issues of mutual concern. We also meet quarterly with the members of the Lurie Children's Heliport Review Committee, a group of community leaders who review the operations of our hospital's Helicopter Emergency Medical Services.
