Neurobiology Program

Scientists in the Neurobiology Program at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute engage in research to define molecular processes critical to development, degeneration and regeneration of cells in the nervous system with the aim of developing novel therapies for diseases and injuries of the human nervous system.

Many neurological disorders are represented in the neurobiology research programs including perinatal and adult hypoxia-ischemia, stroke, epilepsy, febrile seizures, traumatic brain injury, spontaneous and familial forms of Parkinson's disease.
