Kamal Khan, PhD

Dr. Khan obtained his Doctoral and Master's degrees in Biotechnology at the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE), Faisalabad, Pakistan.  

Mr. Khan is pursuing postgraduate studies through a strategic partnership between ACT-GeM and the Human Molecular Genetics Laboratory, Health Biotechnology Division at NIBGE. He joined the Duke Center for Human Disease Modeling in 2016, completed his graduate studies in the ACT-GeM, and is continuing his research as a postdoctoral associate. His research in our laboratory involves the genetic and functional dissection of rare pediatric conditions including syndromic neurodevelopmental disorders and congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract.
