Hammad Yousaf, MS
Mr. Yousaf completed a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore and a MS in Biotechnology from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Islamabad. He is continuing his doctoral studies at ACT-GeM.
His research interests are focused on the molecular mechanisms influencing neurodevelopment. This pursuit employs a multi-omics approach to identify critical developmental pathways. Mr. Yousaf takes advantage of the genetically tractable model organism, Danio rerio, to create models of candidate gene/s through CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, deciphering their role in rare neurological diseases.
