Georgios Kellaris, MS, PhD

Mr. Kellaris obtained his Doctorate in Philosophy and his Master's degree in Molecular Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Mr. Kellaris' PhD work was completed through a strategic collaboration between ACT-GeM, the Choremio Institute of Medical Genetics and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He joined the Duke Center for Human Disease Modeling in 2017 as a graduate student to continue his work as part of the ACT-GeM team. His research focuses on trio-based exome analysis of syndromic microcephaly cohorts and the development of zebrafish assays to study point mutations and copy number variants in neurodevelopment, craniofacial dysmorphologies, and associated co-morbidities.
