Lurie Children's well represented at Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting

The Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting is taking place this May in beautiful Toronto, Canada.

The PAS consists of four sponsoring societies: The American Pediatric Society, the Society for Pediatric Research, the Academic Pediatric Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. In conjunction with affiliate organizations, the societies have assembled a wide-ranging program of invited and submitted science designed to expand personal and professional horizons spanning academic pediatrics.

The PAS 2018 Meeting brings together more than 8,000 pediatricians, research scientists, health care providers, and policy makers from around the world united by a common mission: to improve the health and well-being of children worldwide.

Among the Lurie Children's leaders and presenters are:

Thomas Shanley is Chairman of Pediatrics and Founders' Board Centennial Professor at Lurie Children's; Chair and Professor of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; and President and Chief Research Officer of Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute.

Matthew Davis is head of the Division of Academic General Pediatrics and Primary Care at Lurie Children's; director of the Smith Child Heath Research, Outreach, and Advocacy Center, and Associate Chief Research Officer for Health Services and Policy Research, at the Manne Research Institute; A Todd Davis, MD Professor in General Academic Pediatrics; Mary Ann & J. Milburn Smith Research Professor for the Director of Child Health Research; and Professor of Pediatrics at the Feinberg School.
