The Chicago Institute for Fetal Health at Lurie Children’s has expanded its team of experts this spring with the following new hires:

Shukri Jumale, RN, MSN, CLE, started in April as the Institute’s new nursing director. Shukri comes to the Institute from the Midwest Fetal Care Center in Minneapolis, MN where she served as the program manager for the past 2.5 years. She brings 11 years of nursing experience and is well-versed in both obstetric and fetal care.

Olivia Mott, RN, PACU, has been hired as the MFM Nurse Navigator, optimizing care for expectant families. Olivia brings approximately six years of nursing experience to the role, beginning in labor and delivery at Prentice Women’s Hospital. Most recently, she worked in Northwestern Medicine’s radiation oncology department.

Meg Wiley, MS, CGC, joins the Institute as a genetic counselor. She previously worked in the Genetics Department at Advocate Aurora Health where she served as a prenatal genetic counselor. In that role, she provided genetic counseling for high-risk pregnancies, offered screening guidance for average-risk and preconception couples, collaborated with OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine teams on comprehensive evaluations and led high-risk case meetings and educational sessions for residents and medical students.

Amber Sword, BSN, RNC-OB, CBC, formerly the Institute’s nursing outreach navigator, will now serve as a nurse coordinator. In her previous role, Amber supported hundreds of patients by facilitating transfers of care and building connections with maternal-fetal medicine and obstetric practices to educate physicians and clinical teams. She also has prior experience as a labor and delivery nurse at Prentice Women’s Hospital.

Courtney Dugan, MBA, a proven communications leader, will begin in May as the Institute’s new outreach manager. She will work closely with Lurie Children’s marketing and physician services teams to further elevate the Institute’s reputation and expand access to care and referrals. Courtney’s prior experience includes communications leadership roles at Claire’s, Binance and TikTok.
