Medicaid Members, Update Your Address With Illinois Medicaid

September 15, 2022

Medicaid customers haven’t had to renew their medical benefits due to the Federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE). When the PHE ends, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will end its continuous coverage provision. This provision has allowed the Illinois Department of Health and Family Services (HFS) to keep Medicaid customers insured without confirming all eligibility requirements. As a result of this continuous eligibility, Medicaid customers have not been asked to update their information for more than two years.

As the PHE ends, we are taking steps to protect coverage for as many families as possible, reduce disturbances in coverage, and make sure our Medicaid families receive the HFS redetermination forms.

If you are a Medicaid member, please update your address with Illinois Medicaid today! Don't risk losing your health insurance. It's easy, fast, and free: Call 877.805.5312 from 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or visit medicaid.illinois.gov. If you use a TTY, call 1.877.204.1012.
