Lurie Children’s Welcomes New Pediatric Neurology Faculty
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is pleased to announce the addition of three accomplished pediatric neurologists to its clinical and academic team in 2025.
Martha L. Finch, MD joins as an attending neurologist with a focus on pediatric neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Finch’s work emphasizes improving diagnostic accuracy and care for conditions such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and congenital muscular dystrophies through multidisciplinary collaboration across neurology, rehabilitation, and genetics. She completed her child neurology residency and pediatric neuromuscular fellowship at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center and has presented and published her research nationally.
Priya Sharma, DO comes onboard as an attending physician within the Neurology division and the Epilepsy Program. Dr. Sharma completed her child neurology residency at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale followed by a pediatric epilepsy fellowship at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center. Her clinical expertise strengthens the program’s care in complex seizure disorders and related neurologic conditions in children.
Elizabeth S. Tranel, MD joins as an attending neurologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy). Dr. Tranel’s clinical and research interests include pediatric neuroimmune disorders, epilepsy, and hospital-based neurologic care. She has contributed to evidence-based treatment protocols for rare conditions such as opsoclonus-myoclonus-ataxia syndrome and has a strong commitment to education and mentorship within the specialty.
These appointments reflect Lurie Children’s continued commitment to expanding subspecialty neurological care and advancing pediatric neurology through clinical excellence and scholarly activity.
