Lurie Children’s Week Returns June 1–9 to Celebrate, Support and Stand with Kids
From June 1 – June 9, patients, families, supporters, partners and the community will come together to celebrate Lurie Children’s Week, presented by Hub Group, an annual, city-wide celebration of the care and compassion that define the hospital’s mission. For more than 140 years, Lurie Children’s has remained steadfast in its founding mission: to provide exceptional care for every child, regardless of race, creed, or ability to pay. That mission continues to guide us today, growing stronger through world-class patient care, groundbreaking research, transformative education, and bold advocacy.
Lurie Children’s Week is an opportunity to not only highlight what and who make the hospital extraordinary, but raise critical funds needed to ensure we can continue providing the life-saving care families across the state, country and world travel to receive.
Because of generous supporters, Lurie Children’s can:
- Provide world-class care regardless of a family’s ability to pay
- Invest in breakthrough research that leads to better treatments
- Support families with programs that ease the emotional and financial burden of illness
- Expand access to specialized care for children across our region
“All, for your one.” These four words capture our promise to give our all, every day, for every child who needs us. During Lurie Children’s Week, we invite our entire community to stand up for kids and ensure every child receives the care they need to grow, heal and thrive.
“Lurie Children’s Week is a chance for our entire community to come together and celebrate the strength and resilience of our patients and families,” said Joanna Riester, Vice President, Community and Donor Engagement, Lurie Children’s Foundation. “Every event, every participant and every supporter helps make it possible for us to continue delivering exceptional care and advancing discoveries that change children’s lives.”
