Lurie Children’s Statement Regarding U.S. Supreme Court Decision on Roe vs. Wade

The United States Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe vs. Wade is a significant decision that is generating strong and diverse responses across the country. Lurie Children’s recognizes that our workforce and our community may be processing this in individual and personal ways.  

In light of this decision, Lurie Children's is reaffirming its commitment to providing healthcare to every child and adolescent who needs us. This includes equitable access to evidence-based, high quality, comprehensive reproductive care and services. We will continue to support the principle that medical decisions should be made by individuals with the support and consultation of their provider.
