Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute is pleased to announce that Brittany M. Edens (Yongchao Ma laboratory) and Emily Reedich (Christine DiDonato laboratory) have been selected to receive the 2018 Mary J.C. Hendrix Outstanding Graduate Student Award in recognition of their research accomplishments. The award also recognizes their teaching and mentoring activities, and other professional contributions to the Manne Research Institute.
These competitive awards each consist of $5000 to be used by the recipients for research-related supplies, and is made possible through the generous commitment of the Children’s Research Fund.
The applicant pool for the award was outstanding. The research institute would like to thank the faculty nominators for taking the time to prepare the nomination applications, and is grateful to the Review Committee for their time and consideration.
Mary J.C. Hendrix, PhD, served as President and Scientific Director of the research institute from 2004 until 2013. She is now president of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
