Dr. Julie Sadhu Chosen for Presidential Leadership Track of AADPRT

Julie M. Sadhu, MD, has been selected for the Presidential Leadership Track of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT) through a highly competitive process involving nomination, application, and interviews. 

Dr. Sadhu, the Director of Education and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program Training Director, Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, will embark on this six-year leadership track program as of March 2026. The distinguished appointment was announced at the recent annual meeting in Orlando. The leadership track progresses through key organizational roles, culminating in the presidency, and is a significant honor of recognition.

“Training the next generation of child psychiatrists has been one of my greatest professional joys. I'm grateful to God for this opportunity and to all my mentors, including John Walkup, MD, and Mina Dulcan, MD. I'm thrilled to represent Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University as I contribute to psychiatric education nationwide over the next six years,” said Dr. Sadhu.
