Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago

Please note: Beginning September 1, 2025, we are making some changes to the ambulatory spaces at the main hospital to better serve you. View a list of location changes and clinic additions. 

Lurie Children’s provides superior pediatric care in a state-of-the-art hospital that offers the latest benefits and innovations in medical technology, family-friendly design and research through the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. Our main hospital is located in downtown Chicago on the campus of our academic partner, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Emergency Department

Lurie Children's emergency room is located off of the second floor lobby and is open 24 hours a day. It may be accessed in two ways:

1. From the Reyes Lobby on the second floor.
2. From the first floor lobby near the Superior Street Entrance. The elevators located by the security desk go directly to the Emergency Care Center.

If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. To contact the staff in the Emergency Care Center, call 312.227.4000.

General Information

• ​Use the Huron Street garage entrance
• Park as close to the southeast corner of the garage as possible (see map below)
• Take the elevator to the second floor
• Follow the signs to your right and walk across the garage pedway to the bridge to Lurie Children's

Additional Parking Information

• Self Park: Parking at Huron-Superior garage costs $13 for less than 7 hours, and $18 for 7-24 hours
• Validation for families and visitors is at the second floor concierge desk in Lurie Children’s
• Valet: Valet parking costs $16 for less than 7 hours and $21 for 7-24 hours. Stays exceeding 24 hours will incur additional fees.
  •  Valet parking for families and visitors with a handicap placard costs $13 for less than 7 hours and $18 for 7-24 hours. 
  • Valet is available Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Families and visitors also can park at the Erie-Ontario garage a few blocks away

For extended inpatient stays or multiple outpatient appointments at Lurie Children’s, please ask your nurse or social worker for additional off-site options and shuttle schedules​.

Shuttles Connect Downtown & Lincoln Park facilities

• Shuttles run between Lurie Children's and the Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park and between Lurie Children's and Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children's
• Location
  • At main hospital pick up / drop off is at the southeast (Superior Street) corner of the main hospital driveway near Emergency Department enterance
  • At Lincoln Park outpatient center pick up / drop off is curbside at 2515 N. Clark Street
  • At Ronald McDonald House pick up / drop off is curbside at 211 E. Grand Avenue 
• Hours
  • Shuttle between main hopsital and Lincoln Park outpatient center is available
    • Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., about every 20 minutes and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. about every 60 minutes
  • Shuttle between main hospital and Ronald McDonald House is available 
    • Monday through Sunday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. about every 30 minutes
