In addition to the main hospital, Lurie Children's Outpatient Center in Northbrook offers children and their families convenient access to the same expert teams of medical and surgical specialists with the same leading treatments and kid-focused technologies. This location also offers a Surgical Center with MRI (located next door at 1121 Techny Road).

The state-of-the-art Surgery Center, located next to the Lurie Children's Outpatient Center in Northbrook, offers four operating rooms to support minimally-invasive surgical procedures in addition to 14 private pre- and post-operative rooms and a 3Tesla MRI scanner. 

Specialists from the following divisions will be performing outpatient procedures and surgeries:

  • Audiology/ABR testing with anesthesia
  • Dentistry
  • Dermatology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Medical Imaging/MRI with anesthesia
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ENT)
  • Pediatric Surgery
  • Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Urology

Our comprehensive team of experts also includes a dedicated child life specialist and experienced pediatric operating room and recovery room nurses.
