Audiology Externship
The Audiology Department at Lurie Children’s offers a challenging and exciting 12-month pediatric externship for Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students.
Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP) Summer Research Internship
The Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP) is seeking undergraduate/medical students who are interested in learning more about clinical research and autonomic medicine.
Child Life Internship
Child life internship opportunities are available during the academic year and the summer. Two internship offerings are available to interested students. Interns complete 600 clinical hours during both of the below internship offerings. This is an unpaid internship.
Clinical Psychology Internship
The internship program in clinical psychology has been offered by the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Lurie Children's since 1963.
Dietetic Internship
The Department of Clinical Nutrition at Lurie Children’s offers a full dietetic internship specializing in pediatric nutrition.
Art Therapy Internship
The art therapy internship is 24 hours/week, Monday through Friday, fulfilling the requirements of the American Art Therapy Association.
Music Therapy Internship
As a music therapy intern, you are part of a team that plays an integral role in a child's healing process. You are directly supervised by board-certified music therapists through the hospital's Family Services Department.
Occupational Therapy Capstone Experience
The Occupational Therapy Capstone Experience at Lurie Children’s offers a challenging and exciting opportunity to complete your pediatric capstone experience. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a strong team player and have a strong desire for a career as a pediatric occupational therapist.
Recreation Therapy Internship
Our internship program is designed to provide a learning experience outside of the classroom for students who are studying Recreation Therapy. It allows student interns to apply theories and models of Therapeutic Recreation to the setting of our intensive psychiatry units. We are strong believers of providing student interns with an opportunity to build on leadership skills while also learning how to provide treatment that improves socialization, leisure functioning, and community reintegration for our patients.
Research Internships/Programs
Katz and Manne Research Institute Summer Scholars Program
The Katz and Manne Research Institute Summer Scholars program is designed to provide undergraduates summer experiences in research related to childhood health and disease through the ongoing generosity of the Robert Louis Katz Medical Research Foundation and the Manne Research Institute. Summer Scholars spend eight or more weeks working daily with their faculty mentor and research team during the summer. In addition, the Summer Scholars participate in a weekly course to socialize while learning about scientific presentations and careers in science from participating faculty members. Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Summer Research Intern Program
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is seeking undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in an educational experience designed for the intern to learn more about clinical research in orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Pediatrics Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University
The McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University pediatric residency program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago recruits residents with MD-PhD degrees or who have otherwise unique experiences that indicate a strong commitment to a career in research. The Pediatrics Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) experience is designed to facilitate the development of academic physician-scientists through a blend of experiential learning, didactic sessions and invited speakers.
