Urology Fellowship Program Overview
The first year is primarily dedicated to academic productivity in order to lay the groundwork for a career in academic pediatric urology. Fellows may engage in basic science and clinical research based on their individual goals and interests.
The second year provides broad ranging clinical experience with volumes that ensure practice in a wide breadth of cases and conditions. The clinical year also presents fellows with the opportunity to develop leadership skills through management of the inpatient service and supervision on team rounds.
Throughout both years, fellows interact and collaborate with our faculty to develop their academic, clinical and professional skills in order to achieve their individual career goals. For candidates without a specific focus, our faculty provides mentorship and offers career development counseling.
Our program offers flexibility to meet the individual goals of our fellows. We work with candidates to incorporate their specific interests into the overall program requirements in order to provide an individualized, yet comprehensive, fellowship experience.
