At Lurie Children’s, advanced practice providers (APPs) have access to comprehensive continuing education that meets all requirements for certification and licensure. Our robust professional development offerings include APP Grand Rounds, an annual APP Conference, Pediatric Grand Rounds, Surgical Quality Rounds, Swartz Ethics Rounds, Narrative Medicine Conference to name a few of the opportunities. There are also structured leadership development opportunities such as Lean Green Belt.
PRISM Committee
The APP Council committee PRISM supports APP professional development, research, innovation, scholarship, and provides mentorship. PRISM provides a forum for APPs to share knowledge and learn. PRISM provides research and clinical inquiry support through mentorship and guidance including project planning, navigating organizational structures such as the institutional review board, and knowledge dissemination. Knowledge dissemination is supported through writing support, library resources, and mentorship for manuscript preparation, poster creation, and the peer review process.
APP Conference
Lurie Children’s hosts an annual APP conference. Dedicated pediatric healthcare it provides an opportunity for APPs to teach and learn. Learn more
