Eating, sleeping and playing are essential to the provision of age-appropriate developmentally supportive NICU care. However, supporting NICU infants in these activities remains challenging. The purpose of this conference is to present concepts central to supporting eating, sleeping and play with the NICU infants in your care.

Erin Ross, PhD, CCC-SLP. Erin’s extensive work in NICUs has focused on shifting attention from volume-driven feeding to infant-led feeding: Erin is the author of the SOFFITM Oral Feeding Method for NICU infants.
Mary E. Coughlin, RN, MS, NNP. Mary is an internationally recognized expert in the field of trauma-informed age-appropriate care for NICU infants, and has authored two texts on the topic of trauma-informed NICU care.
Applications for continuing education hours will be made for the following professionals: Audiologists, Nurses/Advanced Practice Nurses. Physical and Occupational therapists, Respiratory therapists, Social Workers and professionals working in Early Intervention.
