
In Memory of Dr. Ron W. Lee

This page is dedicated to the memory of Ron W. Lee, MD, Director, Emergency Medicine, Loyola University Medical Center and Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University of Chicago, 1988 - 1998. Dr. Lee dedicated his career to the field of emergency medical services as an administrator, educator, leader and friend. His mission was always one of caring for others and his many accomplishments impacted at multiple levels - local, state and nationally. In the early 1990's, his commitment to enhancing EMS began to focus on the special needs of children. As Co-Principal Investigator of the Illinois EMSC program, Dr. Lee was instrumental in establishing and fostering the EMSC program within Illinois in order to further pediatric emergency care and childhood illness/injury prevention efforts throughout the state. He was deeply committed to the goals of EMSC and worked diligently to engender the collaboration of multiple disciplines and organizations essential to the success of EMSC.
